ENGAGEMENT is an indicator showing how strongly a recipient was engaged with your proposal at any point in time. It remembers the peak of engagement and never drops - even if the recipient hasn't visited the proposal in a long time.
The more filled bars, the stronger the level of engagement.
How does the indicator work?
ENGAGEMENT is the "memory" of engagement. It remembers the recipient's highest level of interest and stays at that level permanently.
This means you always know who was once genuinely interested in your proposal - even if weeks have passed since their last activity.
What drives the indicator up?
What counts is real recipient activity on the proposal. The strongest signals are:
clicking "request contact" / "request contract" (the strongest signals),
downloading or printing the proposal,
opening quickly right after sending,
time spent on the proposal and viewing most of the pages,
opens from multiple devices (a sign that several people are viewing the proposal - a decision committee),
returning to the proposal after a long silence,
multiple opens (up to ~3 is a good signal; a very high number of opens is not necessarily positive - sometimes someone "keeps circling" because they can't make up their mind).
Weak/uncertain: simply opening the email (pixel) - counts for little, as it's often mail automation, not a human.
Where can I see the indicator?
The ENGAGEMENT indicator is visible in:
the proposal list (main dashboard),
the recipient list under a specific proposal (when expanding an proposal with multiple recipients),
proposal in company or contact details,
statistics for a specific proposal.
On mobile and narrow screens, the value can be found in the row detail view.

Frequently asked questions:
1. Why doesn't ENGAGEMENT drop if the recipient stopped visiting the proposal long ago?
ENGAGEMENT remembers the peak of engagement - this is intentional. This way you don't lose information about who was once close to making a purchase decision.
2. How quickly does ENGAGEMENT update?
In real time - the moment a recipient shows activity on the proposal.
